We will explore the issues that many communities face in renovating buildings for tomorrow while overcoming some of the earlier design approaches that make managing and creating a secure place for learning a challenge. Introducing design elements that improve the safety of school sites and buildings while opening up to support student independence, collaboration, and community. This session seeks to share examples of how old buildings can be made new again in ways that are secure physically and experientially.
