How can system leaders effectively support assessment for, not of, learning? This is the key question being addressed in an innovative statewide network in Virginia. Eleven divisions--rural, suburban and urban--across the commonwealth have been collaborating for over two years to implement student-engaged assessment. You’ll hear from district leaders who will share tools developed that can be used to increase student engagement in the assessment process. Virginia Department of Education resources will also be discussed as a model for state leadership in performance assessment.
