Dr. Frances Ivey is the Deputy Superintendent of Fairfax County Public School. Previously, she was the assistant superintendent for Region 5 and, before that, Cluster 5. She also served as the director for preK-12 curriculum and instruction in the Instructional Services Department, and was an assistant principal and principal at Herndon High School. She taught for 25 years in various school divisions around the country, including San Diego; Beaverton, Ore.; Pittsburgh; and Columbus.
